The Shed OG

“I pause for me, listen within, and grow from the inside out.”

A Program That Begins From Within — Building Self-Awareness and Calm

This Lunar New Year, The Shed invites your child to join The ME That Shines, a reflective holiday program designed to slow things down and begin the year with intention.

Through mindfulness, gentle movement, and time spent in nature, Shedders will explore what it means to understand themselves — noticing their feelings, learning how their bodies respond, and discovering what helps them feel calm, grounded, and cared for. Each day creates space for reflection and self-awareness, helping children build emotional awareness and self-care skills they can carry into the year ahead.

A Week of Reflection, Self-Awareness, and Inner Growth: Program Journey

Our Mini Shedders (ages 3–4) experience runs as a gentle 1-week program, while Little Shedders (ages 5–8) and Young Shedders (ages 9–12) join a 3-day experience designed to support self-awareness, emotional understanding, and calm as the new year begins.

The ME That Shines program unfolds gradually — creating space for children to slow down, tune into their bodies and feelings, and reflect on who they are in the present moment. Using nature as a quiet, grounding space, children are guided through moments of mindfulness, breathwork, and reflection that help them build emotional awareness and self-care from the inside out.

Mini Shedders and Little Shedders will explore self-expression and reflection through playful, age-appropriate activities that encourage noticing feelings, practicing calm, and understanding what helps them feel safe and supported. Their journey culminates in the creation of a Time Capsule — a meaningful keepsake that captures who they are right now and what they wish to carry into the year ahead.

Young Shedders will engage in deeper reflection through guided mindfulness and journaling, exploring their thoughts, emotions, values, and personal intentions for the year to come. This process encourages independence, self-trust, and emotional regulation — offering children tools they can continue to use beyond the program.
