ME, WE, & US

At The Shed, we use thoughtful conversation and purposeful hands-on activities to curate "spaces" where young people can develop a mindset that values the balance of the needs of Self (ME), Others (WE) and, of The Planet (US).

We value a Benefit Mindset. We do this by taking part in experiences that provide opportunities for discussion & reflection combined with action & application. We participate in 5 different categories of activities: Outdoor Health, Farming & Growing/Cooking, Community & Social Action, Building/Crafting & Creating, and Creative Movement. Our activities take place at various outdoor locations around HK as well as at our indoor space, which we call Home Base, located in Sai Ying Pun.

Testimonials

“Tim and Sammi are incredible. They are excellent leaders and have designed a challenging, age appropriate, fun and adventurous program for the kids. Though my 4-yo was apprehensive at drop-off, I returned 2 hours later and found him completely at ease, confident and eager to return next time. We love the Shed!”

“Our 3.5 year old daughter loves The Shed. We have seen her becoming more and more brave and pushing herself outside of her own comfort zone in so many ways. Tim and Sammi are amazing with the kids. As parents, we love the balance of the programs that The Shed offers. From indoor "home base" work including working on fine and gross motor skills like building a go-cart to exploring nature with walks around Pok Fu Lam. It's a unique program with experienced childhood educators who truly care about your children and their holistic development as little humans. I can't recommend this program enough!”

“The Shed has been nothing but amazing and a great opportunity for my boys to explore HK! Every time at pick up my son would always share what he saw or built out of nature, and it always sounds so cool!! Tim, Tony and Yoshi are great mentors and role models for the boys.”
