"We care for the Earth, and the Earth Cares for us"

A Program Rooted in the Land — Growing Care and Responsibility Together

This spring, The Shed invites your child to join The US That Grows, a hands-on season of farming, tree care, and young forests we plant together where caring for soil, seeds, and trees becomes part of everyday life.

Through planting, soil care, and age-appropriate conservation work, children see how living systems grow and learn how their actions help care for the shared environments we all depend on.

The US That Grows  is designed as a multi-day learning journey so children have time to feel comfortable, build familiarity with the environment, and develop understanding step by step. Each day builds on the last, helping children gently explore nature, form connections, and gain confidence as they learn how living systems grow and work together.
