  • Location:

Children begin the program with a hike to the pagoda and rock pools, where they collect stones and work together in small groups to build a rock bridge. This collaborative challenge encourages problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.

In the afternoon, they plant seeds and create an โ€œI Can Tryโ€ nature card, focusing on confidence and trying something new. The day focuses on confidence, cooperation, and the idea that growth begins with trying.

  • Location:
The Peak and Lung Fu Shan

    Activity:
Day two introduces practical calming strategies through a guided hike and a series of โ€œcalm-body explorerโ€ challenges. Children practise listening quietly, walking slowly with control, observing clouds and trees, and stretching through animal-inspired movements. After each activity, children check in with their bodies to notice what helps them feel more ready and calm.

Along the hike, children collect natural items โ€” a rock, stick, and leaf โ€” to represent challenges, strategies they want to keep, and advice they would offer themselves or others. The day ends with a nature-based scavenger hunt and shelter-building challenge, helping children identify and use โ€œcalm helpersโ€ in their environment.

    Activity:
Children navigate a challenging downhill trail, practising awareness and perseverance, before working together to build a shelter that protects an object from the elements. This final challenge reinforces problem-solving, teamwork, and reflection โ€” helping children recognise what theyโ€™ve learned about themselves and how they can carry these strategies forward.

The day concludes with a Time Capsule reflection, where children revisit the objects theyโ€™ve collected throughout the program as prompts to reflect on their experiences, teamwork, and self-regulation strategies, capturing a snapshot of who they are and what theyโ€™ve learned.
