Winter Camp 2025: Shedding Our Light

Program Overview
The Shedding Our Light program builds from day to day — guiding children from self-discovery to collaboration, and finally to Friday’s community event, the Winter Shed Fest, our celebration of giving back. Children will explore what it means to give through creation — from making festive treats to hosting their own community event, with proceeds supporting our sister charity, the More Good Foundation.

• Weekly 3-day enrollment is required

• WK1: Dec 17 - 19 (3-days)
• WK2: Dec 30, 31 and Jan 2 (3-days)*
*No session on Jan 1

LOCATION:
The program is held at various locations in Hong Kong and changes daily. Please refer to the weekly schedule HERE and reference the specific days for the activity locations.
TRANSPORT:
For all other outdoor locations, will provide a private shuttle bus service for pick-ups and drop-offs at the Hong Kong Central Post Office to and from our outdoor activity locations.
NB: For indoor days held at our sister charity, More Good, located in Chai Wan, participants will need to arrange their own transportation there. -

$4,110 for 3-days*

SHEDDERS PROGRAM (3-6yo):
Consider our Shedders Program— an outdoor-only program for ages 3–6yo, with daily sign-ups available for total flexibility! -
Learning Outcomes
This program builds creativity and confidence while fostering teamwork and purpose. Children cook, craft, and prepare for Friday's community event, sharing their creations in support of the More Good Foundation.
At the end of the week, each Shedder will be awarded a Certificate of Service Participation in recognition of their contribution and community engagement.

Little Shedders spend the day at Shek O, hiking to the Pagoda and exploring the coastline as they learn to slow down, appreciate the beauty of nature, and understand that caring for the natural world is also a way of caring for ourselves and others.
In the afternoon, they visit the Shek O Community Farm to replant seedlings started by children in The Shed at Shek O, compost organic waste, and harvest herbs to share with Young Shedders for their community meal service.Through these hands-on experiences, they express gratitude to the earth and discover that caring for nature is a meaningful act of giving back.

In the morning, Little Shedders collaborate with the Mini Sheddersand Young Shedders to prepare and decorate festive treats— practicing teamwork, planning, and purposeful making as they express gratitude and contribute to their community celebration.In the afternoon, they continue their preparation for Friday’s Winter Shed Fest, building out activity stations, and baking five-spice ginger cookies to share.
