Cancellations, Refunds + Rescheduling

Refunds are only available for cancellations requested at least four (4) weeks prior to the program start date. Please note that a HK$500 administrative fee will be deducted from any approved refund.

Requests to reschedule a session or a program must be made at least four (4) weeks prior to the program start date and are subject to availability. A HK$500 administrative fee will apply to each approved rescheduling request.

The Shed does not provide refunds, program credits, make-up sessions, or transfers for absences due to personal reasons, including illness, injury, travel, or other scheduling conflicts.

Weather + Safety Policies

If a Red Rainstorm Warning, Black Rainstorm Warning, or Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) is in force prior to the commencement of a session, the session will be cancelled.
Sessions/Programs will also be cancelled if the Education Bureau announces the closure of schools.
In these circumstances, no refund, program credit, or make-up session will be issued.

Programs will generally proceed during an Amber Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Signal No. 3.
Where necessary, The Shed may modify activities, routes, or relocate to a suitable indoor environment.
If outdoor activities are deemed unsafe and a suitable alternative location is not available, the session may be cancelled. In such cases, a refund, credit, or make-up session may be offered at The Shed’s discretion.

During periods of extreme heat, The Shed may modify activities, routes, locations, and program intensity to prioritise children’s safety and wellbeing.
For afternoon Shedders sessions, if temperatures exceed 36°C, the session will be cancelled. Families will receive a full credit for the cancelled session, which may be used for another available Shedders session during the current holiday program or carried forward to the next scheduled holiday program only.
Liability + Insurance

If your child is attending a The Shed program and you reside outside of Hong Kong, The Shed strongly recommends that your child is covered by appropriate travel and/or personal accident insurance for the duration of the program.
Parents and caregivers are responsible for arranging and maintaining any such insurance coverage for their child.
