Little Shedders
Summer Camp 2026: ME, WE & US Adventures
Full-Day
Program Overview

For Little Shedders (ages 5–8), our ME, WE & US Adventures is a thoughtfully designed summer program where children build independence, make decisions, and gain confidence through hands-on adventures across Hong Kong’s beautiful outdoors — from forest trails and rocky coastlines to beaches, farms, and hillside paths — each setting offering a new way to discover and learn.

Across the summer, ME, WE, and US themes rotate every three weeks, with each week offering a different focus. Children build independence and confidence (ME), learn to collaborate and problem-solve (WE), and deepen their understanding of nature and their role in caring for the world around them (US).

Daily Activities & Locations

  • Location:
    Mong Tung Wan, Lantau Island

    Key Activities:
On day 1, children explore: What do I notice? Where do I go when I have the freedom to explore?

    Mindful Morning
The day begins with a quiet moment to pause, listen, and notice both the environment and themselves.

Children then explore Mong Tung Wan, observing the homes and habitats of plants and animals around them. With the freedom to move and explore, they begin to notice what draws their attention and where they feel most curious and comfortable.

    Beach Exploration & Coasteering
Along the coast, children move across rocks and through the water with close guidance. As they climb, balance, and navigate the terrain, they become more aware of how their bodies move and respond outdoors.

They notice moments of excitement or hesitation, building confidence as they learn how to move safely and make decisions in a natural environment.

They bring their chosen stones together to create a shared “Rock Museum,” and share what they picked and why — helping them recognise their preferences and what captures their curiosity in the natural world.

Through this, they build confidence in their choices while expressing what they see and feel in the natural environment.

On day 4, children explore: What happens when I care for something? What does it mean to take responsibility for a place?

    My Role as a Farmer
At Shek O Community Farm, children take part in planting, tending, and caring for growing things. Each child takes on a role — watering, weeding, or supporting a seedling — building a sense of responsibility through hands-on care.

They also add their personal mark to the ME section of the Summer Totem, choosing a nature symbol that represents them. Both the farm and the totem reflect what it means to grow something and care for what is living.

    Beach Clean-Up & Ocean Play
Children take part in a short, guided beach clean at Shek O, noticing what they find and what it reveals about how people treat the environment.

Afterwards, they enjoy time for ocean and sand play — experiencing the place they have just helped to care for, and building a deeper sense of connection and responsibility.
