Session Overview

As leaves change colours and begin to fall, we see that change is inevitable. Autumn is the perfect season to reflect on changes and all that might come with change. It’s a new school year, with new peers, new communities, and new challenges. This week, we discuss the benefits of challenge and help our Shedders step out of their comfort zone by bringing them to new heights. This week’s journeys will get our Shedders to reflect on their challenges and successes so that they can embrace change and face their challenges in their everyday lives.

Being Prepared

Arriving early and prepared, allows your child the best opportunity to make the most of their session with us. Please share the packing responsibilities with children and let them take ownership of their possessions and at the same time be a helpful reminder to you!

We appreciate that there is a lot of information above and we will use the WhatApp chat to remind you of all these details on a day by day basis.

Drop off, Pick up & Running late

Please be reminded that each session begins at 9:30 am and finishes at 3:30 pm.

Sometimes running late is unavoidable and we will always be waiting at, or near by our meeting point before moving on. However if you know you are going to be late, please inform the lead mentor ASAP. If it looks like you are going to be more than 30mins than the start time, alternative arrangements may need to be made and this will be considered on a case by case scenario.

Session 1: Tuesday, October 3 - Wet Session

We start the week at Tai Tam Reservoir for a stream scramble.

Session 2: Wednesday, October 4

We start at the Peak to hike up High West. We hike down to Sai Ying Pun to the Shed Homebase to get familiarized with our climbing equipment before our climbing trip.
